Patriot Contract Services, LLC. (Patriot) is proud to announce on Thursday, March 18th it was awarded a General Agency contract to manage MARAD's training ship T/S General Rudder from March to September 2021 in support of three separate training cruises for Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Maine Maritime Academy, SUNY Maritime Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
Patriot will provide its knowledge and expertise to support 120 cadets as they complete their summer training cruises and gain experiential, hands-on knowledge crucial to their accreditation as licensed officers in the U.S. Merchant Marine.
Patriot recognizes the pivotal role that maritime academies and training cruises play in the development of future mariners and continued prosperity of the U.S. maritime industry. Patriot previously managed the T/S Kennedy, T/S Golden Bear and T/S General Rudder in 2018 and 2019 in support of training cruises for Massachusetts, California State University Maritime, and Texas A&M Maritime Academies.
