Patriot is one of the first, if not the first, US flag ship management company to obtain ISO 27001 certification. A year-long project by the Patriot legal, compliance, and information technology personnel culminated in this achievement.
This ISMS certification, fairly uncommon in the United States, is granted to organizations who meet the standard by analyzing the risks inherent in their information systems (both electronic and physical), formally addressing those risks, and committing the organization to continuous improvement of the security of information held by and entrusted to the company. Through this process the company brings information security under explicit upper management control. The company’s ISMS is audited, both internally and externally, on a regular basis.
